Insurer To Buy Back Stock

Aetna Inc. says it could spend up to $1.5 billion more on buying back shares of common stock.

Aetna, Hartford, previously earmarked $750 million for buying back stock in April.

Aetna will use the new buyback authorization to buy “shares in the open market from time to time,” the company says.
