A U.S. benefits broker is helping an American Web services company do business overseas.[@@]

Informion Benefit Consultants, Rockford, Ill., is working with OnlineBenefits Inc., Uniondale, N.Y., to introduce OnlineBenefits’ Benergy system to benefits brokers in South Africa.

The Benergy system is a Web-based employee communication portal system. More than 4,000 employers are using the system in the United States, according to OnlineBenefits.

OnlineBenefits has developed a version of Benergy for the South African market because the South African employee benefits market is similar to the U.S. benefits market, OnlineBenefits says.

OnlineBenefits is teaming up with Informion because Informion has an affiliate in Sunninghill, South Africa, as well as offices in the United States, Australia and the United Kingdom.
