NEW YORK — In a special video presentation, Investment Advisor Editorial Director William Glasgall leads a panel of leading business editors and correspondents in discussing the future of corporate governance in the wake of recent scandals. The panel reviews why many CEOs continued to receive rave reviews from the media and stock market even as their companies were crumbling, and looks at the thorny issue of chief executive compensation. In addition to Glasgall, the panel includes CNN anchor Jan Hopkins; USAToday white collar crime reporter Greg Farrell; Fast Company Editor-in-Chief John Byrne; and CEO Magazine Editor-in-chief William J. Holstein. The discussion was held in April at USAToday’s New York bureau. It was part of the Columbia University Knight-Bagehot Fellowship Alumni Committee’s Cocktails & Conversation series. The event was videotaped by BusinessWeek Online. An MP4 player such as Quicktime 6.0 or higher is recommended to view the presesentation.
