Greenwich-Van Changes Its Name

Greenwich-Van LLC, the hedge fund research and investing firm based in Greenwich, Connecticut, has changed its name to Greenwich Alternative Investments LLC, reflecting, the company said, “the broadening scope of hedge fund investing and continued increase in institutional demand for alternative investments.” The names of the Greenwich-Van Heddge Fund indexes will now be known as the Greenwich Global Hedge Fund Indices and the Greenwich Investable Hedge Fund Indices.

The firm was founded in 1992 and was a pioneer in the hedge fund research universe; Greenwich completed the acquisition of Van Hedge Funds in 2005.
