Global Asset Alternatives Hires Managing Director

ATLANTA (HedgeWorld.com)–Catherine M. Jackson joined funds of funds manager Global Asset Alternatives as managing director – hedge fund strategies.

Ms. Jackson is responsible for the firm’s hedge fund investment activities. Funds of funds manager GAA specializes in creating and executing investment strategies in real estate, hedge funds and private equity. The firm manages more than US$200 million for individual and institutional clients including AFLAC Inc.

GAA also formed an alliance with Synovus Financial Corp., Columbus, Ga., late last year. The deal allowed Synovus access to GAA’s funds of funds.

Prior to joining GAA, Ms. Jackson was a principal of LJH Global Investments LLC, Naples, Fla., and vice president of LJH Alternative Investment Advisors Inc., a hedge fund of funds that specializes with high-net-worth families and institutional clients. In her eight years at LJH, she was chief operating officer and recently as director of research. Officials at LJH were not available for comment.
