Bhaskar Peddhapati
Envestnet has named Bhaskar Peddhapati as its new chief technology officer, tasked with overseeing all aspects of technology, engineering and information security across the company.
Peddhapati comes to Envestnet from Cotality, a provider of data, analytics and workflow solutions. He has 25 years of relevant experience, with prior roles at Nielsen and Wells Fargo Advisors.
At Envestnet, Peddhapati will report to CEO Chris Todd. He has been charged with accelerating Envestnet’s technical roadmap and infusing artificial intelligence into its platform.
Todd cited Peddhapati’s track record of team leadership and building innovative global technology platforms as key drivers of his hire.
“Bhaskar is an architect of systems, cultures and transformation,” Todd said in a statement. “Technology lies at the heart of Envestnet’s strategy, and Bhaskar’s leadership will help us deliver even greater intelligence, efficiency and value for our clients and partners.”
Peddhapati said he is excited to take on the role, suggesting that Envestnet is at “an incredible inflection point” where technology, data and AI are converging to redefine how advisors and institutions serve their clients.
“I’m excited by the opportunity to help accelerate that transformation — putting technology at the center of our business to create more value for our employees and our customers,” he said. “This is about enabling people to grow, contribute, and build the platform for the future of advice together.”
News of the appointment comes more than a year after Envestnet was purchased by Bain Capital.
