HealthCare.com has raised an additional $31.5 million.

The web-based health insurance distributor and product developer received the cash from Hildred Capital Management, a New York-based firm that invests in companies with up to $100 million in annual revenue.

The investment is part of HealthCare.com’s “Series C” round of funding, or third big round of funding. The company announced in December 2021 that the Series C round had raised $180 million.

The Series C round has brought in a total of $211.5 million, HealthCare.com says.

HealthCare.com is an 8-year-old firm that has technology for developing and offering bundles of insurance products that might meet a consumer’s needs, rather than simply responding to a consumer’s efforts to search a quote database. It has headquarters in New York and Miami.

The company has said it will use the new cash to upgrade its technology and hire people.
