  • Last year, COVID-19 kept fans out of the stadium.
  • This year, Lincoln is hailing the fans, and using the fans' stories to convey ideas about insurance and retirement planning.

Lincoln Financial is celebrating the start of the new National Football League season, and its relationship with the Philadelphia Eagles, with a new collection of videos.

The Radnor, Pennsylvania-based has had the naming rights for the Eagles’ stadium, Lincoln Financial Field, since 2002. Last year, the COVID-19 pandemic kept fans out of the stadium.

This year, Lincoln is hailing the return of fans to the stadium with an introductory video featuring Connor Barwin, an Eagles executive, and a collection of five videos focusing on the stories of individual fans.

The tagline for the video collection as a whole is, “Eagles fans know what it takes to Plan, Protect and Retire.”

Lincoln is using one of the videos, which features John D’Amico, a small business owner, to deliver the message, “Leave a financial legacy for your loved ones.”

The company is using another video, featuring Mikel Pride, a family physician who has been treating patients with COVID-19, to convey the idea, “See how you can keep your family protected.”
