LL Global — the parent of LIMRA, LOMA and the Secure Retirement Institute — says Neil Sprackling will be its board chair in 2021. Sprackling is the president for U.S. life and health at Swiss Re America Holding Corp. He will be taking over from Jill McGruder, the chief marketing officer at Western & Southern Financial Group. (Related: Jill McGruder to Lead LIMRA and LOMA's Parent in 2020) LL Global also elected Barbara Turner, the president and chief operating officer at Ohio National Financial Services, to be the vice chair. Turner will be on track to succeed Sprackling as the chair of the LL Global board in 2022. LL Global announced the leadership changes Tuesday, during the LIMRA annual conference, which began Monday. LIMRA is holding the conference online due to COVID-19. Sprackling said in the statement, that LL Global has helped the insurance industry respond to the pandemic by providing invaluable market insights and opportunities for industry participants to share ideas. LIMRA, a financial services research organization, and LOMA, a financial services operations management research and education organization, merged to form LL Global in 2010. LL Global started the third organization under its umbrella, the Secure Retirement Institute, in 2013.
