Genworth Financial Inc. today announced that it will hold a conference call to go over its first-quarter earnings with securities analysts at 8 a.m. Eastern time May 1.
The Richmond, Virginia-based company skipped quarterly earnings calls in 2017, as it was starting efforts to be acquired by China Oceanwide Holdings Group Co. Ltd. of Beijing.
The company resumed holding quarterly conference calls in 2018.

Genworth has been a large player in the U.S. life and annuity markets. It's still a significant player in the mortgage insurance, and it continues to sell long-term care insurance through associations and direct sales efforts.
