NCOIL said one of Morrish’s priorities will be keeping international agreements from weakening the state-based U.S. insurance regulation.

Morrish said he also hopes to expand NCOIL’s educational offerings, by adding a track aimed at legislative staff.

NCOIL also named Indiana state Rep. Matt Lehman vice president; California state Assemblymember Kenneth Cooley, treasurer; and New York state Assemblymember Kevin Cahill, secretary, according to NCOIL.

Tom Considine continues to be NCOIL’s chief executive officer.
