Dynasty Financial Partners has announced that Matthew Marsh will join the firm as director of investment solutions. Formerly at Morgan Stanley (MS), Marsh was recently the Southwest regional manager for the consulting group.
Marsh will work closely with Scott Welch, chief investment officer, and Michael Moriarty, director of investment platforms, and will report to Todd Thomson, chairman. Marsh will divide his time between the firm’s San Francisco and Chicago corporate offices.
“Having led sales and solutions for Morgan Stanley’s Consulting Group regionally for the past 10 years, Matt’s experience and reputation as a hands-on resource for top advisors is well known,” explained Thomson in a statement.
Wells Fargo Advisors (WFC) says it has recruited Larry Fowler from UBS. Fowler, who managed more than $136 million in client assets, now reports to Forrest Williams, branch manager at Wells Fargo’s Washington, D.C. office.
Meanwhile, Dallas-based Lear Investment Management has welcomed Cody Lummus to the firm’s investment management team as a financial advisor. Lummus was formerly at Wells Fargo Advisors, where he was an associate vice president and investment officer.
“We are delighted to welcome Cody to the team, and believe our firm will benefit from his nearly 10-years of asset management experience, investment acumen and superb client service skills,” said Rick Lear, managing partner, in a statement.
