Trading platform Robinhood appeared to be down as the market opened Monday, with thousands of users submitting problem reports to an outage monitoring site and complaining on social media.
Downdetector showed more than 11,000 problem reports around 9:36 a.m. Eastern time. The report level dropped to 4,220 by 9:50 a.m. and a user posted there shortly before 10 a.m. that it was back online.
"$hood Someone please put together a class action lawsuit and let me know where I can enjoin. This is UNACCEPTABLE Robinhood!" one user posted on X at 9:41 a.m. with a screenshot of a "something went wrong" message.
Mobile brokerage accounted for 58% of the problem reports, with the website representing 25%, according to Downdetector.
Robinhood representatives didn't immediately respond to an email seeking comment.
