Finny AI has a new high-profile investor in Josh Brown, CEO of Ritholtz Wealth Management.

Brown is also joining the artificial intelligence-powered prospecting platform’s advisory board as it seeks to scale up its reach in the wealth management industry, noting that he is “pumped” with the prospect of helping the “firm reach the next level.”

“Finny is solving the biggest challenge advisors face today: finding and connecting with the right clients,” Brown said in a statement. “Advisors are great at building relationships, but they don’t have the time — or the right tools — to consistently find new prospects. … Finny changes that.

Finny Co-founder and CEO Eden Ovadia cited Brown’s “visionary leadership” in the wealth management space and his high profile as an author and media figure as important factors in his appointment.

“From our first conversation, Josh and I immediately clicked because we both recognized a fundamental truth: organic growth is the single biggest challenge for financial advisors, and the tools available today simply aren’t built for their needs,” Ovadia said.

Finny’s platform automates and optimizes the prospecting process by enabling advisors to identify high-intent leads based on thousands of data points — including liquidity events, career changes and other money-in-motion signals.

It also generates a metric called an “F-Score” that helps advisors engage with the most relevant prospects.

As an investor and advisory board member, Brown will help to steer Finny’s product roadmap and its evolving effort to meet the prospecting and marketing needs of financial advisors.

His appointment follows on Finny’s recently announced $4.3 million seed funding round, co-led by Maple VC and HNVR, with participation from investors such as Morningstar CEO Kunal Kapoor and Deel COO Dan Westgarth.

The funding has fueled product innovation and adoption, according to Finny executives, helping to establish its position as a fast-growing AI-driven platform supporting wealth managers.
