Michigan has become the 29th state to join the Interstate Insurance Product Regulation Compact Commission.
Gov. Jennifer Granholm signed legislation permitting Michigan to join the IIPRCC .
The commission provides participating states the ability to develop uniform national product standards collectively for life insurance, annuities, disability income and long term care insurance products.
