New Bill Expands Social Security Survivors' Benefits

What You Need To Know
- The bill would eliminate the "widow(er)'s limit" that permanently reduces survivor benefits if the deceased spouse claimed retirement benefits before full retirement age.
- Widows, widowers and surviving divorced spouses with disabilities would receive 100% of survivor benefits regardless of their age.
- Younger surviving spouses with children would be able to receive spousal benefits until the youngest child turns 19 if still enrolled in school.
