Google Trends shows what people really care about.
Over the past 12 months, in the United States, the search term “health” has appeared in 10 times more Google search queries than the search term “retirement.”
“Blood pressure” has appeared in 14 times more queries than “annuity.”
The Alliance for Lifetime Income — a consumer outreach campaign supported by pension and annuity issuers — has come up with a tool that retirement planning specialists can use to give preparing for old age some of the glamour associated with obsessing about a mole: a new Financial Wellness Score quiz.
The alliance worked with Chris Heye, the CEO of Whealthcare Solutions — and the holder of a doctorate from MIT — to create the quiz. The quiz poses questions about matters such as the quiz-taker’s recent life events and overall financial knowledge.
