OneAmerica has hired Christine Coburn to be vice president of underwriting for employee benefits. Previously she was vice president of national accounts at Prudential Financial. She began working in insurance at Unum Group and later worked for Sun Life Financial. She will be based on OneAmerica's offices in Portland, Maine. In other personnel moves news: Nationwide, Columbus, Ohio, has hired Laura Titas to be chief data officer. Titas previously was the chief digital experience and technology officer at Wendy's. She also served as a board member of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. Before going to work for Wendy's, she worked for Accenture and Rosetta. She has a bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester. Covered California, Sacramento, California, has hired Dr. Alice Chen to be chief medical officer. She succeeds Dr. Lance Lang, who retired in June. Covered California is the nonprofit organization that runs the Affordable Care Act public exchange program in California. Chen, who will earn $395,000 a year in her new position, previously was the deputy secretary for policy and planning and chief of clinical affairs for the California Health and Human Services Agency. Prior to that she was chief medical officer for the San Francisco Department of Public Health's San Francisco Health Network. She has a bachelor's degree from Yale, a medical degree from Stanford and a master's degree in public health from Harvard.
