NAIC Names DE&I Director: Personnel Moves

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has hired Evelyn Boswell to be the organization’s diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) director.

The Kansas City, Missouri-based regulator group says one of Boswell’s roles will be overseeing a new DE&I council.

Boswell previously was a human resources advisor at H&R Block.

Boswell has a bachelor’s degree from Arkansas State University and a master’s degree in human resources management from Webster University.

She holds the Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and Society for Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) professional designations.

She has been an equal employment opportunity compliance administrator for GEHA, a diversity recruiter for the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, and the human resources manager at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kansas City.

In other personnel moves news:

An arm of Cigna Corp., Bloomfield, Connecticut, has hired John Webb to be market president for health care and related benefit plans in West Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi.

Webb will work with employer clients with more than 500 employees in the plan.

Webb previously was the chief executive officer of Quantum Reach, a management consulting firm.

Webb has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in business from Pepperdine.

Webb has worked as general manager of Unum Canada, the head of sales for Unum in Southern California and Nevada, and head of core sales at Aetna.

Webb has also held other positions at Aetna, including senior vice president for government and business alliances.

Webb has also been the volunteer strategic development officer for Enchanted Makeovers, a group that renovates homeless shelters that serve women and children.
