RBC Wealth Management has been on a tear this month, adding advisors with nearly $2 billion in total assets from the wirehouses and other firms.

On Thursday, it welcomed Greg Wells from Wells Fargo, where he managed about $260 million in assets. Wells, who has been an advisor for 21 years, will be part of RBC’s branch in Rockville, Maryland, along with senior investment associate Mei Chow.

The Mangan Ernst & Rankin Wealth Management Group joined RBC recently with about $270 million from Janney Montgomery Scott in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, and Mount Laurel, New Jersey.

This team includes veteran advisors Clark Mangan, James Ernst and David Rankin, each of whom has over 20 years of industry experience.

“We’re continuing to embrace digital tools to recruit, onboard and support new advisors when they join RBC,” said Scott Ceniccola, RBC Wealth’s Philadelphia Complex director, in a statement.

Other Recent Hires

Earlier in June, advisor Mark Bilski moved to RBC from UBS in New York with about  $650 million. He made the switch with four associates and has been in portfolio management for ultra-high-net-worth clients for about 25 years.

“The difference for me at RBC is [that it has] a true entrepreneurial culture and a strong leadership team, many of whom were advisors themselves,” Bilski said in a statement. “Culturally, it’s a great fit for me and my practice.”

(Bilski’s move came shortly after the Sheresky-Samsen Group joined RBC in New York from Morgan Stanley in late May; it also manages $650 million.)

Also in early June, two advisors in the CFS Group and advisor John Galleher moved to RBC from UBS in McLean, Virginia, with over $800 million in client assets.

The CFS Group, which manages nearly $440 million, includes veteran advisors Anthony Connor and Bryon Fusini, while Galleher works with close to $380 million. Moving with Galleher is Ron Fitzgerald, a senior financial associate.

RBC Wealth Management has a total of more than 2,000 advisors that work with some $279 billion in total client assets.
