Hub International Ltd. has acquired the assets of Hatchett Insurance Agency LLC.
Hub is a big insurance brokerage firm based in Chicago.
Hatchett is a Winchester, Tennessee-based insurance agency that was founded in 1954. It sells life insurance and group health insurance as well as property and casualty coverage for families and businesses.
The companies are not saying how much Hub paid for Hatchett’s assets.
Nelson Hatchett, who is the chief executive officer of Hatchett Insurance and the son of the founders, will be staying with the agency. Nelson Hatchett and the agency’s employees, will stay in the current Winchester location and be part of Hub’s Hub Mid-South region, Hub says.
