280 CapMarkets announced a suite of complimentary service offerings that aims to empower independent advisors with tools, resources and fixed income expertise to expand their client service capabilities and compete effectively.

Called 280 Advisor Services, the new suit of services will be offered through the Advisor Liaison Desk of 280 Securities. The advisor services are free to anyone currently using the BondNav platform, which is currently free to access.

According to Eve Cohen, managing director and head of the Advisor Liaison Desk, 280 CapMarkets designed 280 Advisor Services specifically to solve challenges for independent advisors.

“Gaining access to a broad universe of wholesale bonds offerings, having the resources to thoroughly evaluate bonds in the context of real-time market dynamics, and balancing time between managing their clients’ needs and running a practice can be tough,” she said in a statement.

280 Advisor Services includes customized and advisor-branded bond portfolios, which are created specifically for the advisor and based on the individual needs of his or her client. It will also provide comprehensive bond portfolio reviews to give advisors more confidence that a client’s fixed income portfolio is aligned with evolving market conditions and client goals.

According to Cohen, the new 280 Advisor Services aim to provide advisors with “deep fixed income expertise” when and how they need it. She adds that it can also help with a lot of the legwork necessary to effectively manage their fixed income business.

“With the recent volatility in the equity market, rising interest rates and seasonal tax planning, this is a great time to evaluate fixed income investments,” Cohen said in a statement. “280 Advisor Services can be a valuable resource to help independent advisors navigate this complex environment and meet the investment needs of their clients with confidence.”

As part of 280 Advisor Services, expert insight will be available on demand to help advisors navigate structural and credit characteristics of fixed income securities in order to make more informed choices for their clients. Advisors will also have access to a broad universe of wholesale bond offerings, research, and trade ideas, based on real-time fixed income market dynamics, bond availability and pricing.
