RBC Wealth Management says it has recruited a branch manager from UBS to lead its Des Moines, Iowa, office. The news was announced the same week UBS said it will leave the Protocol for Broker Recruiting.
Timothy Woods is now a senior vice president and branch director; he will oversee 18 advisors and 14 staff members. He moved to RBC with 34 years of industry experience and roughly $250 million in client assets.
“We are thrilled to welcome Tim to RBC Wealth Management. He is a proven industry leader and is well-respected in the community,” said Dave Myers, who leads the Kansas City complex for RBC, in a statement. “He will help us continue to grow our wealth management business.”
RBC Wealth Management has $310 billion in total client assets with some 1,800 financial advisors.
Janney Montgomery Scott says it has hired three advisors from wirehouse firms with a combined $465 million in client assets.
John R. Chase Jr. has joined the Columbia, S.C. office from Wells Fargo with about $125 million in client assets. David H. Robb also moved to Janney from Wells Fargo; he will work in the Philadelphia head office, along with Reginald W. Wilkes, who formerly was with Merrill Lynch.
Robb moves with about $170 million in client assets and has spent 32 years in the business, while Wilkes manages over $170 million in client assets. Wilkes, a former NFL linebacker with the Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons, has some 29 years of experience and was previously affiliated with Merrill Lynch.
