The theme of the first quarterly issue of Research on Wealth is low yields — how they impact your financial planning, your clients’ portfolios and (of course) your business, and what you can do in response to the current investment climate.

We are pleased to highlight the views of Michael Finke, dean and chief academic officer of the American College of Financial Services, and are glad to include the opinions of several veteran advisors as well.

Our columnists Mark Elzweig, Marshall Jaffe and Bob Seawright also share their insights on what low yields mean for advisors, while Bill Good zooms in on how to get client referrals without asking for them.

Research on Wealth includes several new features: Wealth Watch, Tech Talk and Giving Back. These regular pieces aim to tell the stories of top wealth managers and executives, explain the thinking behind the latest technology strategies and innovations, and showcase the outstanding charitable work being done by leading financial professionals.

We sincerely hope you enjoy the magazine’s new format and content, and we welcome your suggestions on future themes, featured wealth managers and other topics at [email protected]. Thank you so much for your continued interest and support of Research.
