Top Portfolio Products: Mygale Adds European Fund

New products and changes introduced over the last week include an event-driven UCITS fund from Mygale; the addition of a BlackRock index to Forethought Life Insurance’s Company’s fixed indexed annuity products; and BondView’s new  platform to analyze municipal bond funds and their underlying holdings.

In addition, Rocaton Investment Advisors and Penbridge Advisors announced a strategic alliance to provide pension derisking services and Guardian Life Insurance Company of America completed its acquisition of Avsis Incorporated.

Here are the latest developments of interest to advisors:

1) Mygale Adds Event-Driven UCITS Fund

Mygale launched the Mygale Event-Driven UCITS Fund, a European-focused equity strategy hosted on the MontLake UCITS platform. MontLake is an independent platform for UCITS funds that provides investors with access to a range of investment products domiciled in Dublin.

The fund is diversified across a number of strategies, including merger arbitrage, catalyst-driven investments, relative value and special situations.

2) Forethought Adds BlackRock Index to FIAs

Forethought added BlackRock’s Diversa Volatility Control Index interest crediting strategy to its fixed indexed annuity products.

The BlackRock Diversa Volatility Control Index offers a globally diversified composition of select U.S.-listed iShares ETFs that dynamically responds to trends in asset returns, which in turn provides the potential for more consistent returns than a traditional stock index. Within applicable FIAs from Forethought products, clients have the opportunity for interest crediting potential linked to the performance of the index, subject to a cap and with the downside market protection of a 0% crediting floor.

3) BondView Adds Municipal Bond Fund Analysis Platform
