Retirement-plan sponsors surveyed in 2011 by the Boston Research Group ranked Vanguard as the top firm for overall satisfaction, value for cost, and investment performance, according to Vanguard, which notes this is the third year in a row that it has achieved the No. 1 ranking for overall satisfaction.
“The results show how important value is to plan sponsors — the concept that high-quality service and funds can be delivered at a very reasonable cost,” said Chris McIsaac, head of Vanguard’s Institutional Investor Group, in a statement.
Boston Research Group conducts an annual survey of how plan sponsors with $5 million or more in assets perceive full-service retirement plan providers.
Several months ago, Cogent Research’s Retirement Planscape 2011 survey rated Vanguard among the best in several categories, including brand impression, loyalty and plan sponsor support, the fund family says. •
