Legal & General adds to UL portfolio

Legal & General America has added Life Change Universal Life to its product lineup, its third new UL offering this year.

“Our universal life designs and pricing are more sustainable in these challenging financial and investment environments because of our focus on protection-based life insurance for America’s families,” said Frank Gencarelli, senior vice president of distribution and marketing.

Similar to the company’s other UL products, Life Choice UL and Life Step UL, Life Change UL is built for lifetime guarantee coverage periods but shorter payment periods. It’s ideal for modest 1035 exchanges on older insureds, who will not likely qualify for the best underwriting class.

Life Change UL has guaranteed cash values that equal the death benefit at age 121 when scheduled premium payments are made on time. MediGuide Medical Second Opinion coverage is provided free with new policies, in approved jurisdictions.

Life Change UL has been approved by the majority of states to be issued by Legal & General’s Banner Life Insurance Co. In New York, Legal & General’s William Penn Life Insurance Co. has filed for approval but has not yet been authorized. For more information, visit www.lgamerica.com.
