Wilmington Trust Corp. has named veteran wealth advisor Lawrence Gore president of the New York office of Wilmington Trust FSB, the firm announced Monday, August 30. Gore joined the New York office earlier this year as a managing director and senior private client advisor.

According to the statement, Gore worked most of his 30-year career in the New York offices of wealth management firms J.P. Morgan and UBS Financial Services and its predecessor entities. In his last role at UBS, he served as managing director and head of the corporate and executive services group. Most recently, he was senior vice president and head of wealth management for Herald National Bank.

“Larry has been a successful wealth advisor for high-net-worth clients and a great mentor to colleagues for many years,” Roger W. Hobby, president of the Northeast region for Wilmington Trust FSB’s wealth advisory services business, said in the statement. “Our New York office has expanded considerably over the past decade to keep pace with our growing base of clients in the area and to effectively manage their increasingly complex needs.”

Wilmington Trust opened its New York office in 1998. The wealth advisor services business offers a comprehensive array of personal trust, wealth planning, fiduciary, asset management and family office services that help clients grow, preserve, and transfer wealth. The business maintains 20 offices throughout the U.S. and serves families with whom it can build long-term relationships, including many which have lasted for several generations.
