Life Insurance Awareness Month (LIAM) is right around the corner, and now is the time to be thinking about how you will reach out to your clients and prospects to most effectively deliver the message about why adequate life insurance coverage is so important.
But this is not something you need to do all by yourself. The LIFE Foundation, the official sponsor of LIAM, has created a number of resources specifically intended to help producers trumpet the message. Start off by taking a look at the Producer Toolkit (http://www.lifehappens.org/liamkit), which provides an overview of the campaign and explains the resources the LIFE Foundation has created to help you.
The toolkit offers three different themes (2010 official theme “Wonders of Life,” “Insure Your Love” and “Life Happens”) each supported by a suite of great marketing ideas, including compelling videos, e-cards, a microsite, downloadable PDF fliers, direct mail pieces, posters, promotional products and more.
The toolkit also offers a marketing guide, a LIAM fact sheet, sales ideas, customizable news releases and more. There’s no excuse for not taking the time to see how one or more of these resources can help you make the most of the opportunity LIAM presents.
Life Insurance Selling will be in full LIAM mode throughout the month of September. The September issue of the magazine – which will be our largest so far this year – will be filled with “trends in life insurance” features from some of the industry’s foremost experts. We’ll even feature an interview with 2010 LIAM spokesperson Leslie Bibb, who has recently starred in movies including “Iron Man 2″ and “Talladega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobby.”
In September Life Insurance Selling will also host a free Web Seminar, “Emerging Trends in Life Insurance,” featuring industry heavy-hitters Lou Pierce, CLU, E. Dennis Zahrbock, CFP, CLU, ChFC, and Thomas Henske, CFP, CLU, ChFC, CLTC. The live event will take place at noon Eastern on Sept. 23. You can register for this free event here: http://www.lifeinsuranceselling.com/WebSeminars/Registration/Pages/emergingtrends.html?pc=ban.
