Hartford Investment Management Hires Manager From Neuberger Berman

Hartford Investment Management Co. announced Wednesday, July 7, the hiring of Ray Humphrey as senior vice president and senior portfolio manager with the company’s Inflation Plus Fund and U.S. Government Securities HLS Fund.

Hartford Investment Management, a sub-advisor to The Hartford Mutual Funds, said Humphrey would also focus on macro investment strategies, portfolio construction and portfolio optimization as a member of the firm’s Global Rates and Strategy Team.

“Ray brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the firm and adds to our already strong investment capabilities in the global fixed income space,” said Greg McGreevey, president of Hartford Investment Management, in a statement.

Humphrey joins Hartford Investment Management with 20 years of experience in the investment industry, primarily as a trader and portfolio manager for international and global fixed income. He served most recently as lead portfolio manager for international and global fixed income products at Neuberger Berman, LLC.
