Nationwide: African-Americans More Optimistic

About 58% of U.S. African-American adults expect their household situation to be better a year from now.

Only 30% of all U.S. adults are optimistic that their household situations will improve, according to researchers at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, Columbus, Ohio.

Nationwide researchers have based those figures on results from a recent survey of 1,200 U.S. residents ages 18 and older.
