William F. Quinn, chairman of American Beacon Advisors Inc., has been with the AMR group since 1974, when he joined American Airlines’ former subsidiary, Sky Chefs. He became that company’s vice president and controller in 1978. From 1979 to 1986, he served as assistant treasurer with responsibility for overseeing and managing American Airlines’ short-term cash portfolio and pension funds. When American Beacon was created in 1986, Quinn was named president and CEO.
Prior to joining American Airlines, Quinn worked for Arthur Young & Company in New York. He holds a BS from Fordham University and is a New York CPA. Quinn also serves as chairman of the Committee for the Investment of Employee Benefits (CIEBA), a nationally recognized organization of large corporate pension funds, and as a member of the boards of the American Airlines Federal Credit Union and Crescent Real Estate Equities, Inc. In addition, he serves as an advisory director of Southern Methodist University Endowment Fund and as a director of United Way of Tarrant County. He is also a member of the advisory boards of various private investment partnerships. When he’s not working, he likes to travel and spend time at his lake house reading, and with his 12 grandchildren.
Adriana Posada joined American Beacon Advisors in 1993 and serves as managing director, trust investments, for the company. She is responsible for monitoring the external domestic equity and fixed income advisors to the American Beacon Funds and AMR’s pension plans.
Posada received her BS in mathematics from the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogota, Colombia, and her MS in mathematics from the University of Houston. She also has an MS in actuarial science from the University of Michigan. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening and country living.
