Safety is the name of the game when it comes to preserving seniors' money. But not all seniors are created equal. Some still want the thrill the uncertainty of the market offers – at least with some of their money. Principal Funds recognizes that, and it knows that two-thirds of the globe's market capitalization resides outside the United States.

Financial advisors and their more adventurous senior clients have two new choices from Principal Funds to scratch their international investment itch: Principal Global Real Estate Securities Fund and Principal International Growth Fund.

The first fund focuses on U.S. and non-U.S. companies that are principally engaged in the real estate industry. The second fund is an existing fund with new retail share classes, investing in common stocks and other securities of companies around the globe that are poised for above-average growth.

"A whole new world of investment opportunity exists beyond the boundaries of the United States," says Ralph Eucher, president of Principal Funds. "The chance to offer investors potential for added diversification through international investing is simply too big to ignore."
