Oberweis Asset Management, in Lisle, Illinois has launched a new no-load foreign fund, Oberweis Asia Opportunities Fund (OBAOX), to be managed by Senior Portfolio Manager John Wong, who is based in Hong Kong. The fund will concentrate on small- to mid-cap companies that derive a majority of their revenues from business activities in the region. The majority of the Funds’ initial holdings will be listed on regional exchanges or over-the-counter exchanges in Asia, including exchanges in Hong Kong, Mumbai, Singapore, Tokyo, and Seoul, among others,” the firm says in its February 4 announcement.
