An insurer is offering variable annuity customers more investment choices.
Midland National Life Insurance Company, West Des Moines, Iowa, a unit of Sammons Enterprises Inc., Dallas, is adding 8 ProFund funds to the menu for its Vector Series Variable Annuity contract, bringing the total number of subaccounts to 82.
The new funds include options such as an emerging markets fund, a short emerging markets fund, a falling U.S. dollar fund and the ProFund VP UltraShort Dow 30 fund.
The VA contract appears to be the first to offer all available ProFund funds, Midland National says.
