Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Las Vegas, has launched an individual health insurance plan for Nevadans.

The company says is aiming its new RightPlan PPO 40 product at self-employed individuals, empty nesters and early retirees, children not covered by their parents’ plan and young adults losing dependent coverage.

The plan features no medical deductible, a $40 copayment for doctor’s office visits, and comprehensive coverage for prescriptions.

It also features preventive care screenings and health and wellness programs.

The plan includes access to more than 3,900 providers and specialists and 32 acute-care hospitals, as well as out-of-state coverage through Anthem’s BlueCard program.
