Nebraska Makes Producer Invoices More Private

Cornhusker regulators are trying to make agents’ and brokers’ records less tempting to identity thieves.

The Nebraska Department of Insurance says its producer licensing division will stop putting producers’ Social Security numbers on the appointment and cancellation invoices sent to insurers.

Instead, the department will use national producer numbers, officials say.
