A large insurer says it has completed efforts to integrate a recently acquired money manager.

RS Investments, San Francisco, which is now part of Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, New York, is now selling Guardian funds under the RS brand, Guardian says.

Guardian Investor Services L.L.C., a subsidiary of Guardian, acquired a majority stake in RS earlier this year.

Guardian Investor Services will now be the distributor for the RS family funds, and it will be the investment sub-advisor to the RS asset allocation, equity index and fixed income funds, Guardian says.

RS, which is now the investment advisor for 23 funds, will operate as an independent subsidiary of Guardian Investor Services, Guardian says.

Guardian will be merging the Guardian UBS Small Cap Value fund management team with the RS Partners Fund team, but other management teams will remain unchanged, Guardian says.
