Recently acquired units of a large insurer are joining to form an employee health productivity management unit.
Nationwide Mutual Insurance Columbus, Columbus, Ohio, says its new GatesMcDonald disability management subsidiary and its FutureHealth health management subsidiary are teaming up to create the Nationwide Better Health program.
The “Better For Life” section of the program will sell disease management, case management, maternity management and health promotion services to employers.
The “Better For Work” section will sell absence, leave and disability management services, Nationwide says.
The Nationwide Better Health program will use the disability claim intake process to get the information necessary to identify workers who need personal health coaching and other support services, Nationwide says.
