The Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education has recognized 5 insurance advisors who have made a major difference in their clients’ lives.

LIFE, Washington, presented the realLIFEstories Client Service Awards honors recently in San Francisco, at the annual convention of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Falls Church, Va.

LIFE featured the recipients of the awards and their clients in a special advertising section in the Sept. 4, 2006, issue of Newsweek.

The recipients are Joseph St. Onge Jr. of Sarasota, Fla.; Paul Miller of Maquoketa, Iowa; Rich Lazarski of Chicago; Gillian Lotz of Columbia, Md.; and Stacia Vetter of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

One of the recipients, St. Onge, was recognized for helping a client who was an insurance agent himself.

The agent, Mark Wandall, knew he needed to buy life insurance when he went to St. Onge for help purchasing coverage, LIFE says.

“At the age of 30, Mark was killed by a car that ran a red light,” NAIFA says. “The benefits from his life insurance enabled his wife Melissa to be a full-time mom and to set aside money for college for their newborn daughter.”
