A dental insurance unit of UNIFI Mutual Holding Company has formed a relationship with the employee benefits arm of Managing Agency Group Inc.
MAG-EB, Hartford, has picked Ameritas Group, Lincoln, Neb., an arm of UNIFI, Cincinnati, to be the dental insurance carrier and claims payer for the MAG-EB Employers Dental Trust plans throughout most of the United States, Ameritas says.
First Ameritas Life Insurance Corp. of New York will be the dental carrier in New York.
Ameritas and its sister company will be taking responsibility for a block of about 7,000 insured dental plan members, Ameritas says.
MAG-EB wholesales benefits products through 1,400 agents and brokers, and those producers now will be able to sell group dental plans for groups of 100 or more employees through Ameritas and First Ameritas, Ameritas says.
