A unit of LaSalle Bank Corp. is getting into the health account business.

LaSalle, Chicago, says it wants to manage health savings accounts, flexible spending accounts and health reimbursement arrangements for employers, health insurers and benefit plan administrators.

LaSalle, a regional bank holding company with $116 billion in assets, will run its new LaSalle CDH Solution program with technology from ConnectYourCare Inc., Timonium, Md.

The program will adjudicate claims, provide a health account payment card, and supply investment options and Web-based administration tools, LaSalle says.

The program also will offer health risk assessment questionnaires, provider comparisons and other consumer support tools from ConnectYourCare, LaSalle says.

LaSalle is a unit of ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Amsterdam.
