AIG Advisor Group Inc. has hired Phillip Hofling to be vice president, legal.[@@]

Hofling previously was assistant director of securities at the Arizona Corporation Commission, according to AIG Advisor, Phoenix, a broker-dealer network unit of American International Group Inc., New York.

Hofling also has worked as an enforcement attorney in the Vermont Department of Banking, Insurance, Securities and Health Care Administration.

Hofling has a bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire and a law degree from Vermont Law School.
