Fairlane To Market Conseco Annuities

Conseco Insurance Company has joined with Fairline Financial Corp., an annuity distributor, to develop 2 new flexible-premium indexed annuities.[@@]

Conseco, a unit of Conseco Inc., Carmel, Ind., and Fairlane Financial Corp., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., are introducing the Annuity Edge contract and the Retirement Edge contract.

The Annuity Edge is an 8-year term product that gives purchasers the ability to earn a fixed rate of return or to tie crediting rates to the Dow Jones Industrial Index, the S&P 500 index, the S&P MidCap 400 index or the Russell 2000 index.

The Retirement Edge contract is a 12-year term product that gives purchasers a longer list of options about ways to tie the crediting rate to stock index performance.

Both products come with a built-in nursing care rider and a terminal illness rider, Conseco says.
