The Principal Financial Group Inc. is offering free financial advice through the workplace.[@@]

Principal, Des Moines, Iowa, says its new Work Secure program will help workers identify their insurance and financial priorities and choose the best voluntary benefits to reach their goals.

The program gives employees access to a team of Principal financial professionals, Principal says.

A salaried benefits specialist from Principal will work with the benefits broker and employer to put together an enrollment plan for the dental insurance, disability insurance and other voluntary benefits available through the employer. The Principal specialist then holds face-to-face meetings with the employees in the workplace. Phone consultations are also available.

Principal Work Secure will be introduced in key markets this year and in 2006, Principal says.
