FirstMerit Corp. has agreed to put Invest Financial Corp. in charge of its broker-dealer operations.[@@]
FirstMerit, Akron, Ohio, a bank holding company with $10 billion in assets, its financial consultants will continue to advise customers. Invest Financial, Tampa, Fla., will supply investment products and technology support services.
FirstMerit has 161 banking offices in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
Invest Financial is an affiliate of Jackson National Life Insurance Company, Lansing, Mich., which, in turn, is a U.S. arm of Prudential P.L.C., London.
