The Employee Benefits Security Administration is gathering ideas for the 2006 National Summit on Retirement Savings.[@@]

The U.S. Department of Labor, EBSA’s parent, plans to hold the summit in Washington in March 2006.

Officials at EBSA and the Labor Department are especially interested in comments about approaches for discussing the current state of retirement savings and activities that would get the attention of women, low-income workers and other groups of workers who face special retirement savings challenges.

Officials also are interesting in hearing about ideas for new partnerships that would bring government agencies and private organizations together in efforts to increase the U.S. retirement savings rate.

Comments are due July 5.

The summit notice is on the Web at http://a257.g.akamaitech.net/7/257/2422/01jan20051800/edocket.access.gpo.gov/2005/05-11438.htm
