The U.S. Treasury Department is setting up 6 meetings to study ways to help educate consumers about money.[@@]

Treasury’s Financial Literacy and Education Commission held the first meeting today and will hold the last of the 6 meetings March 17.

Scheduled speakers will include bankers, academic researchers, representatives for nonprofit groups, individual witnesses who have submitted written public comments in the past and representatives for trade groups that have submitted written public comments.
