Genworth Financial Inc., Richmond, Va., has introduced a guaranteed income rider on select VAs.[@@]

The GE Principal Protection Advantage rider, available on some VAs issued by GE Life and Annuity Assurance Company, enables a contract holder or beneficiary who is at or nearing retirement to receive income payments guaranteed to total no less than their original investment.
