AEFA Profits Rise With Stock Market

NU Online News Service, Jan. 26, 2004, 5:31 p.m. EST – The stock market rebound helped American Express Financial Advisors increase its profits 19%.[@@]

AEFA is reporting $182 million in net income for the fourth quarter of 2003 on $1.7 billion in revenue, up from $153 million in net income on $1.4 billion in revenue for the comparable quarter in 2003.

American Express as a whole is reporting $763 million in net income on $7.1 billion in revenue, up from $683 million in net income on $6.2 billion in revenue.
